What to Expect with SisterLocks

Consultation

Hair needs to be shampooed 24 hours prior to consultation.  Hair should be free of any gels, conditioners, oils etc. (hair should be in its natural state). A discussion of your hair care history, review of Sisterlocks contract, lifestyle, hair assessment and test locks will be put in to confirm that the right type of locking pattern.

Establishment

Locking Session

Hair needs to be shampooed 24 hours prior to consultation.  Hair should be free of any gels, conditioners, oils etc. (hair should be in its natural state). Locking session can take 18-20 hours, which is broken down over two (or more) consecutive days.  You will leave with a starter kit for proper shampooing of your new locks and a new sense of “hair freedom.”

First Retightening

On the day of your retightening, you will need to wash your hair 24 hours prior to retightening, and hair should be free of any gels, conditioners, oils, etc. (hair should be in its natural state). The progress of your locks will be monitored and you will be advised on how often you will need to come for re-tightening, which ranges between 4-8 weeks, depending on your hair type and rate of growth.
